Traditional Approach
Our Approach
- Focus on Individual Issues:
Treats personal mental health problems but may miss broader social and cultural contexts. - Limited Cultural Sensitivity:
Therapists might not fully understand specific cultural backgrounds. - Focus on Symptom Reduction:
Aims to reduce symptoms and may involve medication, but might not address deeper feelings of loss or confusion. - Standardized Techniques:
Uses general, impersonal methods that may not address unique cultural challenges. - Limited Time Frame:
Sessions are short, limiting deep exploration of cultural issues. - High Cost:
Therapy can be expensive, especially without insurance. - Long Wait Times:
Often has long waiting periods due to high demand.
- Exploration of Identity and Values:
Helps individuals explore identity, belonging, and values. - Challenging Assumptions:
Encourages questioning societal norms and expectations. - Finding Purpose in Difficult Situations:
Helps find meaning and purpose in the face of cultural challenges. - Broader Perspective:
Looks beyond symptoms to understand the bigger picture. - Open-Ended Exploration:
Allows for more time and personalized discussion. - More Affordable:
Lower cost compared to traditional therapy. - Faster Response and Flexibility:
Quicker response times and more flexible scheduling than traditional therapy approaches.

About Us
Bridging Keystone Identity was founded out of a deep awareness of the challenges faced by newcomers to Canada. We start with you in mind. Our journey together begins with a free initial appointment designed to understand your specific challenges and emotions.
